U.S. Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson gathered this morning with the leaders of the political parties to discuss the possibilities of voting on the special court and the extension of the EULEX mandate by the Assembly of Kosovo. The U.S. Embassy confirmed the meeting to Kohavision. “The Ambassador was the host of today’s morning meeting as part of the efforts to support the important legislative agenda of Kosovo,” reads the Embassy’s response to KTV. Sources said that leaders agreed for the Assembly Chairmanship to gather on Friday and determine the date of the parliamentary session where they would vote on EULEX’s mandate and establishment of the special court for war crimes. However, they added that the session cannot be held prior to 23 April.
