Pristina-based attorney Arianit Koci writes in an opinion piece that the establishment of the special court will question the fight for liberty of the Kosovo Liberation Army, “all because of the political class that is incapable of protecting it”. Koci says he is against the establishment of a court that will try the crimes of only one party. “But if the Assembly adopts the establishment of the special court in the way it is being imposed, then there is no dilemma that we have made a terrible mistake somewhere along the way. If this scenario takes place, then we should not waste time and apologize to Serbia, starting with the president and the prime minister. We should not wait for someone to force us to apologize. It is less important if and when Serbia will apologize to us. This could be the shortest way to visa liberalization, economic development and European integration,” Koci argues.
