Minister of Labour and Social Affairs in the Government of Kosovo Nenad Rasic said that so far, with the political representatives of Serbs in Kosovo, no one has talked about KAF.

Rasic said to Beta agency that Serbs in May 2013 set a request to the institutions of Kosovo for granting reserved seats for minorities in the Assembly, but that no response was received.

Rasic believes that if there is no discussion and compromise on the issue of reserved seats, Serbs in the Kosovo Parliament will not be able to vote for the establishment of the armed forces.

“Serbs request to have reserved seats in the next two terms in the Kosovo parliament. If this does not happen, or, unless a harmonized political decision is brought between all the political partners, Serbs can think of some methods and ways of possibly being able to take a step forward” Rasic said.

Rasic said that, if there is no progress on the issue of reserved seats, thus and the possibility of any harmonization of political interests is wasted.

Possibly the formation of the armed forces of Kosovo in the Kosovo parliament must support the two -thirds majority, including two -thirds of the minority communities.
