Tracey Jacobson, U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo visited the Office of Community Affairs where she spoke with the director Srdjan Popovic about the problems of graduates of Pristina University, which is relocated in Kosovska Mitrovica, reads a statement of Independent Liberal Party (SLS).

Popovic said that the Office of Community Affairs raised the issue of solving the recognition of diplomas, because for now, those who have graduated from this university cannot apply for jobs in the local institutions. “Most college students from the Serbian community are studying at the university in Kosovska Mitrovica. If we would not solve this problem, we would permanently lose their interest and we would lose educated people whose knowledge is more than required,” Popovic said during a talk with the Ambassador of the United States.

Popovic said that solving this issue is essential for members of minority communities who have completed the faculties of this University, and who, because of unrecognized diplomas are in unequal position compared to other communities.
