The action plan for integration of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian (RAE) community which was endorsed by Prizren Municipal Assembly two years ago, remains unimplemented due to the non-allocation of funds from the municipal budget, foreseen in the document.
Therefore, the Municipal Office for Communities and Return (MOCR) in Prizren, addressed a request to the executive bodies of the municipality to allocate €50 thousand to implement this plan.
Due to the lack of response, MOCR has requested from the Communities Committee to address this issue at the Municipal Assembly, in order to “allocate the above mentioned amount during the review of the budget, from the subventions for implementation of the plan…”
However, no decision was brought at the meeting of the Committee for Communities. Members of this local advisory panel have requested detailed information on the action plan…, in order to decide if they would proceed further with the request in a week.
