The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) warned today that Serbia is slowly becoming a colony of the European Union, thanks to a wrong politics of the government, whose decisions are in favor of the recognition of independent territory of Kosovo.

The Vice President of the DSS Slobodan Samardzic stated at the press conference that ‘government of Serbia is leading totally wrong politicks when it comes to state policy’.

Samardzic also said that he feels honored by the proposal of the provincial branch of the DSS from Kosovo and Metohija to be the candidate for the party leader. He went on to say that government ‘is progressing with firm steps ahead when it comes to Kosovo’s independence’, whereas in cooperation with the EU it ‘doesn’t have its own policy’ thus ‘Serbia is slowly becoming an EU colony’.

He also criticized the government because the Minister of Public Administration Kori Udovicki failed to lodge veto on the presence of Kosovo delegation at the recent meeting of the Initiative of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). Samardzic said that authorities have thus violated the agreements reached by Borko Stefanovic on the appearance of Kosovo delegations at international forums with an asterisk on the name tag, which is supposed to show the respect of the UNSC Resolution 1244.
