According to Milaim Shefkiu, these elections revealed the defects of the Constitution of Kosovo. He blames drafters of the Constitution for lack of professionalism, and gaps which leave space for different interpretations by analysts, jurists and political parties. Shefkiu suggests that the Constitution of Kosovo is a bad copy or adoption from other constitutions.

“Head of the Constitutional Court, Enver Hasani and his colleagues have come to a conclusion which initially gives Hashim Thaçi the right to create the new government while after this they throw the ball to Atifete Jahjaga to decide on the second attempt,” he writes. “The Constitutional Court has not untied the knot, which could lead the country towards extraordinary elections.”

He further notes that these elections show who the real patriot is and who loves Kosovo more. Just as in Solomon’s case, the one who loves Kosovo more will make a compromise. This is valid for both Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Coalition. Those who love Kosovo more favor Kosovo’s perspective while the greedy ones will sacrifice the state for personal benefits,” concludes Shefkiu.
