Independent Liberal Party (SLS) informed that Dalibor Jevtic is deposed from the post of the executive director of the SLS back on 1 July, whereas procedure for deposition of Bratislav Nikolic was launched immediately after parliamentary elections, by which the party negated that they have resigned.
According to the SLS’s handout, deposition of Bratislav Nikolic from the post of the chairperson of the municipal branch will be certified at the next session of the main party board. According to radio’s information, session is set to take place tonight.
The SLS reasoned the deposition of its members with their disrespect of main party’s board decisions, without specifying concrete details. They went on to say that party didn’t receive any note on their resignation. However in the written statement for media they say that resignations were submitted by Jelena Bontic and Jasmina Zivkovic who have “much contributed to party’s image and success”. The statement also didn’t provide reasoning for resignation of Sasa Milosavljevic.
In the statement the SLS says that party, as of its foundation, encouraged its members to criticize, express opinions and present stands particularly with relation to topics which they don’t agree with, however they added that party is not tolerating bold violation of party’s main board decisions.
Yesterday, members of the SLS from Štrpce/Shtërpcë Dalibor Jevtic, Bratislav Nikolic, Sasa Milosavljevic, Jelena Bontic and Jasmina Zivkovic said in a joint statement that they are leaving the Independent Liberal Party due to their dissatisfaction with the situation in that party and their inability to influence on such situation.
