Unless six convicted Albanians in ‘Monstra’ case are released until Monday, liberation army of Skopje will launch attacks on police.

Completely new, fourth Albanian guerrilla formation is threatening Macedonian police. “If Albanian convicts are not released until 14 July, liberation army will take serious steps and massive attacks on Macedonian police,” reads the communiqué of the ‘main headquarters’ of that formation, reported RTS.

Liberation army of Skopje is the fourth armed formation in Macedonia as of 2001 and after disbanding of the Albanian National Army led by Ali Ahmeti and Gzim Ostreni.

Emerging of the liberation army of Skopje coincides with the raised tensions in Macedonia, following life sentences rendered by the court in Skopje to six ethnic Albanians due to terrorism and killing of five Macedonians in ‘Monstra’ case.

Due to such court’s decision informal Albanian groups have organized protests through social networks, whereas in last Friday protestors clashed with police in Skopje. Some twenty people were injured in Albanians’ protests where various messages were flagged, amongst whom one could see and ‘we are not terrorists’ along with Al-Qaeda flags.

Everyday protests are taking place in few Macedonian towns, Tirana and Pristina, where local sport supporters have set the Macedonian flags to fire.

Big ‘All-Albanian’ protest is announced for Friday in Skopje, whereas such development of the situation has already caused serious divisions and real media war between Albanians and Macedonians
