More than 1,100 members of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS) municipal branch in Parteš/Partesh, along with the chairperson Nenad Cvetkovic, left the party this morning. Deposition of Jevtic and Nikolic is only a story for media, claim former SLS members. KIM radio learned that such decision was made after last night main board’s session.

Statement signed by Nenad Cvetkovic reads that members of the main board also learned last night that Dalibor Jevtic and Bratislav Nikolic were now deposed, as announced yesterday by the party leadership.

“We learned that there was no decision at all about deposition of Dalibor Javtic and Bratislav Nikolic, and that it was only a story for the public in order to present the picture to it that party is functioning normally,” reads the statement. According to the statement, there were only five members present at the last night main board’s session.

“President of the party has misused the party once more and no matter of the fact that party was left by 3.500 members in only two days, he still persists with his policy. Thus we convened a meeting this morning and brought the unanimous decision to leave the SLS,” reads the statement.
