Jevtic: Serb MPs crucial factor for establishment of new Kosovo government

Acting minister of communities and return Dalibor Jevtic said on Monday that nine MPs of the Serb community will be a crucial factor for establishment of the new Kosovo Government.

During a visit to Kamenicë/Kamenica, Jevtic said that he is certain that there will not be new elections in Kosovo, as the role of Serbs at the Assembly of Kosovo will be determinative.

Jablanovic: Srpska members do not fight for ministerial posts

Srpska List still has not decided which political party it will support for establishment of future Kosovo government, Head of Srpska List Aleksandar Jablanovic told Serbian language edition of Radio Kosova.

He said that members of this List will not fight for ministerial posts, but rather for economic development.

Jablanovic said that Constitutional Court’s decision should be waited and only then start talks about joining the future Kosovo governing coalition.

Kosovo Police secures Basic Court of Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north

Police has returned to Basic Court of Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north, but not also judges and prosecutors. As of Friday, security task for this institution has been transferred to local rule of law bodies.

“Kosovo Police took over the duty for overall security of the Basic Court building from EULEX, and we have a detailed plan how to do this. We will guard it 24 hours. We will not allow any threat and our tasks are clear,” said Zeljko Bojic, chief of operations at the Kosovo Police north station.

However, return to normal operation of the Basic Court is not all that clear. The work in this building was stopped in 2008 after protests against Kosovo independence declaration.

The parallel Serbian system Mitrovica/Mitrovicë Basic Court operates not far from this building. No officials were present to talk to Klan Kosova. Unofficially, Klan Kosova learned that the work in this institution is done only for the sake of doing it, although there are around 50 judges, prosecutors and staff who are being paid by Serbia.

On the other hand, staff of the legal Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north Basic Court work under different conditions in Vushtrri/Vucitrn. They do not have high hopes about their return to Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north Basic Court building, but they know about the working conditions that the recently renovated building offers.

Excavations in Rudnica resume on Thursday

Excavations in Rudnica of Raska (Serbia) stopped by the Serbian side on July 3, will resume on Thursday. This has been confirmed by the Government Committee on Missing Persons head Prenk Gjetaj. He also spoke about an agreement with Serbia about the handover of the remains found, which still has to be reached with Serbia.

Gjetaj said that Kosovo is ready and willing to work and shed a light on the fate of the missing persons, while he blamed Serbia for the works that have been temporary stopped adding that Serbia should have been sanctioned for this by the international community.
