Head of the parliamentary board for Kosmet Milovan Drecun has stated that the representatives of the “Srpska” list in Kosmet will not take positions in the Kosovo diplomacy.

Judging by their statements, such thing is impossible because the representatives of that list will act in line with the Serbian Constitution, stating that Kosmet is a UN protectorate and the southern Serbian province.

Drecun has specified for the “Vecernje Novosti” daily that the Kosmet Serbs have no place in the Kosovo diplomacy, as for them Kosovo is not a state. He says that the Serbs’ part in the provincial parliament is another thing, i.e. taking part in the interim institutions.

Drecun has also underlined that the Kosmet Serbs may participate in the regional gatherings where Kosovo is presented with a footnote. Besides that, by taking over the leading positions the Serbs in the Province can have impact on the improvement of the economic and security situation, he believes.
