Twenty seven displaced families are expected to return to Peja (Koha)

Peja Municipality, the representative of displaced persons and UNHCR on Wednesday have signed an agreement with which it is foreseen the return of displaced persons from this municipality from Montenegro and Macedonia.

This way in the list to return are 27 families of Roma and Egyptian community, meanwhile for 7 of them will be constructed houses. The agreement signed by all parties foresees that municipality to allocate land for the displaced returnees. According to the agreement, UNHCR will support construction of houses for returnees.

Representative of UNHCR, Besim Lakaj, informed that this organization will support returnees also with food and hygienic packages.

According to the agreement, returnees from these two countries could return to Peja in mid of October this year. Peja Municipality has already allocated land for the construction of seven houses, while for 20 others Municipal authorities said that they need donations.
