Political and security situation in northern Kosovo is increasingly unstable, rated today councillors of four Municipal Assemblies at the meeting convened by emergency procedure.
Having concluded that “EULEX is acting contrary to the entrusted mandate and contrary to the objectives of the international community,” councillors concluded that EULEX with its activity in last few months has lost the confidence of those who should protect, which makes impossible further achievement of the objectives of this mission. ”
The delegates decided on starting mass peace protests against tyranny and extralegal actions of EULEX as well as the development of an action plan for non-violent and democratic protection of their interests.
They said that EULEX representatives “to bear sole responsibility for the rise in tensions in northern Kosovo.”
“We call EULEX representatives to act responsibly and to talks about the immediate termination of persecution,” states the last conclusion of councillors of four Municipality Assemblies in the north of Kosovo, the mayors and presidents of the Municipal Assemblies of Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavic/Leposaviq and Zvecan/Zveqan.
