Serbia will prevent the embezzlement of the state’s funds in Kosovo, said Serbian Minister for Labor and Social Welfare Aleksandar Vulin.
“Police had carried out investigation and at the time when I was the director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija. We’ve handed over documents they requested from us and I did not interfere in that case…Embezzlement took place in Kosovo for sure, however that doesn’t’ mean that we should cancel the assistance to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. No way. The Assistance, however, should be distributed in a more precise and fair manner,” said Vulin to Blic.
“There are cases where people receive social welfare, at the same time they have properties and business, and entire Kosovska Mitrovica is familiar with it. However, in order to cancel such practice, it is necessary to amend the Law on Social Welfare, and we are going to do it,” stressed Vulin.
