Jahjaga expected to receive proposals for the way out of deadlock

(RTK1)

RTK learned from its sources that President Atifete Jahjaga is expected to receive proposals of the political party leaders about the way out of the current political crisis by Tuesday.

As far as the possible ways out of the political deadlock are concerned, RTK quoted the political analyst Naim Rashiti saying that President Jahjaga has only one option. According to him, that option is to call a joint meeting between all political parties and that Assembly session chairperson Flora Brovina, in order to call the session with an open agenda and to enable open debate.

Furthermore, Rashiti explained that the President has the constitutional right to send the country to elections, without asking the political parties.

On the other hand, Shpend Kursani, another political analyst said that a solution should be found outside the Constitution. He said that the other solution is the one that political parties agree to make compromise.

Auditor finds many irregularities at Office of Prime Minister

(KTV)

Office of Prime Minister (OPM) of Kosovo did not manage to avoid Auditor General’s loop, who found many violations in it. Auditor’s institution has concluded that this Office has a series of deficiencies, including the budget spending, completion of contracts, vehicle expenses, non-taking measures from 2012 recommendations, and so on. Despite the good design of the internal control system, it has not been implemented effectively.

OPM, known for granting different subsidies, at its current manner of management is not giving assurances that these subsidies are being used for dedicated goals. According to Auditor, this risk comes due to irregular reporting from beneficiaries.

Office of Prime Minister agreed with all these findings and pledged to recover them.

Serbian War Crime Prosecution suspects mass grave in Gjakovë/Djakovica

(All monitored broadcasters, RTV21)

Office of the Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor claims that it has information about existence of a potential mass grave in a village of Gjakovë/Djakovica.

Serbian prosecution said that in order for light to be shed on these suspicions, excavations are expected to happen with EULEX Mission’s help.

However, the Kosovo side says that it was neither informed nor asked about potential exhumations.

Piskotë village of Gjakovë/Djakovica municipality is suspected of hiding remains of Serb victims from the last war in Kosovo. This was made public by the Office of the Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor. In a press release issued, the Prosecution says that it possesses information to ground this statement. The Prosecution also says that it has ground to support its statement, as it suspects that the remains of Serbs killed during the war in the so called ‘Likovc Detention Camp’ were buried in this village.

Kosovo authorities in Prishtinë/Pristina say that they have not been official informed about this matter. EULEX has not commented this information.
