Provincial Committee of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) for Kosovo and Metohija today condemned the statement of the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric that Serbs and Albanians in 2025 will be allies.
The committee said that such a thing cannot be said by someone who does not know the history of the conflict in Kosovo.
“However, this is not the only political nonsense that the senior civil servant said so far on the issue of Kosovo. We have heard already that he will build the Peace Park in Kosovska Mitrovica, then that he will make the Tsar Lazar city square, and the crown is that the Office for Kosovo and Metohija which director is he, will create and Knez Mihailova Street in Kosovska Mitrovica,” says a statement.
DSS added that, after such political performances of the government officials, the question raises how come that such incompetent persons are at the head of an institution that should solve the Kosovo problem which is, as said, the biggest problem for Serbia.
Director of the Office, Djuric has previously said that the Serbs and Albanians could be allies and friends until 2025, and it will mostly depend on moves by politicians in Belgrade and Pristina, to be undertaken in the coming years.
