Serbia and Argentina are having friendly relations and joint standpoints over many issues, including Kosovo, reads a conclusion from a celebration on the occasion of the 86th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries.

“The historical relations between our two countries have never been interrupted and Argentina always stood by Serbia,” said Argentinean Ambassador to Serbia Ricardo Fernandez.

Fernandez said that two nations have always extended mutual support and assistance to each other and built up the firm friendship, and added that both states have many mutual standpoints at the UN.

“Argentina supports the correct position of Serbia (with regard to Kosovo) and respects the (UNSC) Resolution 1244, particularly in terms of respect of the territorial integrity and settling of disputes by agreements reached through negotiations, and acceptable to all sides,” said Fernandez.
