Jahjaga: More women in decision-making positions (Koha)

During the opening ceremony of “Women in Kosovo’s Security Institutions” project, Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga expressed her support for all women and girls in uniform, who are part of judicial and security institutions in Kosovo. Jahjaga stated that the role and contribution of women is undeniable in building institutions and strengthening the rule of law.

“Equal participation of women in every segment of life, particularly at decision-making levels, is an added value to our society. Women with decision-making role at security institutions is a synonym of a developed and democratic society, and we must engage and work each day towards this goal,” stated Jahjaga.

Jahjaga pointed out that women in security institutions, have made Kosovo a safer place for its citizens. Jahjaga also thanked the international community in Kosovo for their continuous support to strengthen the rule of law institutions in Kosovo.
