Minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuci, hosted today a meeting with the chief of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX,) Gabriele Meucci. In this occasion the latter congratulated Kuci on his new mandate as Minister of Justice.
They discussed the current developments in the justice system in Kosovo. They paid a special attention to the reforms of the legal infrastructure, further cooperation between Kosovo institutions and EULEX as well as coordination of activities, process of visa liberalization, and the justice building. Minister Kuci stressed that during this mandate his main focus will be increase of efficiency of the justice system as well as cfivilan issues, therefore it is important to cooperate in all justice fields with respective institutions and EULEX.
Meucci appreciated the so far cooperation of EULEX with the Ministry of Justice and stressed that further cooperation is important for enforcement of the rule of law in Kosovo.
At the end, parties agreed to continue their regular inter-institutional activities at the Joint Coordinating Board for the Rule of Law and preparations for the Structured Dialogue with the EU.
