EULEX confirmed that the house arrest order against the Mayor of Zubin Potok Municipality, Stevan Vulovic, was suspended on Friday. The decision, brought by the Basis Court in  Mitrovica, came into force on 19 of December, the EULEX spokesperson, Dragana Nikolic-Solomon, confirmed to KoSSev.

Vulovic was ordered 30 days of house arrest after he voluntarily reported himself for questioning to the Basic Court in North Mitrovica on 8 December.

KoSSev also learned unofficially that Vulovic was at his work place in his Office of the Mayor of Zubin Potok, after several months of absence, and that he could also travel to Brussels on Thursday.

Vulovic is charged for organizing the escape of a detainee Slobodan Sovrlic from Zuibn Potok police station’s custody in March this year. In mid-July Kosovo police tried to summon him for questioning following the EULEX request, but since he was not at his resident address, an arrest order was issued soon after.
