Ombudsperson considers Jablanovic’s statements chauvinistic

(KTV)

Prime Minister Isa Mustafa has preferred to keep silent the statements of his cabinet minister Aleksandar Jablanovic, who, after the protest which was held in Gjakovë/Djakovica on Tuesday, called families of the missing persons as savage.

Office of the Prime Minister did not give an answer if it will reprimand Jablanovic for his scandalous statements. KTV tried to take an official stance from the Prime Ministry about this matter, but Isa Mustafa’s staff did not answer.

However, the Ombudsperson’s Institution has been terrorized by Jablanovic’s statements. Ombudsperson Sami Kurteshi considers Jablanovic’s statements chauvinistic, while he says that this is the most serious violation that a minister can make.

Kurteshi said that Jablanovic should have been immediately disciplined; however, according to him, there is no one that could discipline him. The Ombudsperson expressed his lament regarding the non-immediate reaction of the Government.

Following the protest that was held in Gjakovë/Djakovica, Serb minister at the Kosovo Government, Aleksandar Jablanovic, called savage all the ones that protested, including mothers of the missing persons.

This statement of Jablanovic incited many reactions and his dismissal was requested, but the Government still has not said a word about this matter.

Besides this, Jablanovic is also making other violations, as he continues to refer to Kosovo as Kosovo and Metohija.

Gjakovë/Djakovica municipality: Jablanovic is not contributing to peace

(Most monitored broadcasters, KTV)

The municipality of Gjakovë/Djakovica considers pitiful the approach of Minister Aleksandar Jablanovic, expressed in the very first days of his work, toward the citizens of the country he serves.

A reaction issued by this municipality says that the offensive statement toward the citizens of Gjakovë/Djakovica demonstrates best how different politicians do not have a clue about the reality created in Kosovo over the last sixteen years. Even less, the minister is not interested to contribute to peace and improvement of relations, the reaction adds.

The AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj also spoke about Jablanovic’s statements. He called on minister Jablanovic to withdraw his statements and seek apology from the mothers of Gjakovë/Djakovica missing persons.

ECMI condemns blockage of entrance to the Serb Orthodox Church in Gjakovë/Djakovica

(RTK2)

“Blockage of entrance to places of worship is an act of violence that impedes the stable coexistence of communities in Kosovo, and does not bring accountability for war crimes any closer,” the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) stated.

It called on Kosovo institutions to ensure that all citizens enjoy freedom of movement and unimpeded access to worship sites.

ECMI Kosovo reiterates the necessity to ensure the security of all citizens, regardless of their ethnic background in Kosovo, especially on the occasion of emotionally charged events, such as the case in Gjakovë/Djakovica.

On the Orthodox Christmas occasion, 6 January, the internally displaced Serbs were not allowed to enter the church in Gjakovë/Djakovica.

Bujupi addresses the issue of mobile mammography to Prosecution

(KTV)

Non-functioning of the mobile mammography has pushed AAK MP Donika Kadaj-Bujupi to address the issue to the State Prosecution, in order for it to start investigations regarding the negligence for making this mammography functional.

Kadaj-Bujupi says that there are grounded suspicions that this is being intentionally done, so certain groups of interest can benefit.

Kadaj-Bujupi, who is also the AAK caucus leader, says that the Ministry of Health should not have kept silent about this.
