Peaceful protests in northern Kosovo have ended: Kosovo government proposed withdrawal of the Law on Public Enterprises (KoSSev, RTK2, TV Most)

Kosovo government decided on today’s session to withdraw the proposal of the draft amendments to the Law on Public Enterprises from the assembly’s agenda. The government also decided that new Law on Trepča should be drafted instead in order that all issues related to the company, which is one of the most important economic subjects in Kosovo, are made clearer.

The director of the Trepča Company Jovan Dimkić informed citizens and employees, who ended the protest they staged this morning in village Rudare in northern Kosovo against the announced amendments to the Law on Public Companies, that Kosovo government adopted this morning the proposal to withdraw the amendments to the Law on Public Companies. He also thanked employees and citizens for gathering, and also thanked the Serbian Government and Serb ministers in the Kosovo government for their support.
