Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa writes on his Facebook account today that Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic is trying to shift Serbia’s economic crisis over to Kosovo. “He [Vucic] can say that all socially-owned properties are his in an effort to deceive Serbian citizens, but we know that these properties are ours and no one should be worried about this. No one needs permission to enter into his own property, but Vucic needs permission to enter into every part of Kosovo, because we are the landlords of this country and we don’t negotiate with anyone about the properties of our country. The decision which led to Trepca facing a liquidation process was not made by Serbia but by the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, both by locals and internationals. But the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo avoided the liquidation of Trepca by amending the law on public enterprises. The government and Parliament are responsible for making the best decisions and measures for this mining complex and for the future of the country. We need to resolve our problems by making good calculations, without conditions or populist policies, because this country needs stability,” Mustafa writes.
