Thirty-day detention for Srpska List MP

Srpska List MP at the Assembly of Kosovo got in trouble with the law, as he is being investigated for the criminal offence of rape. The Basic Court in Mitrovicë/Mitrovica set a 30-day detention to him on Wednesday, but without giving any details if he is one talked about.

Through its sources within the Prosecution, KTV learned that he is Adem Hodza, a member of Gorani community, who is also member of Srpska List caucus.

Prosecutor Njazi Rexha, who is dealing with the case, told KTV that he can only confirm that investigations are being carrying out for the criminal offence of rape.

Leader of Srpska List, Aleksandar Jablanovic, did not want to relate Hodza with his political entity, no matter that Hodza is part of this List’s caucus.

Kurti not to re-run for Vetëvendosje’s chairperson

Vetëvendosje Movement chairperson, Albin Kurti, has decided not to re-run for the chairperson’s post of this political party. According to a press release issued by the Movement, only Visar Ymeri, who is also Vetëvendosje’s caucus leader, has presented his candidacy for the chairperson’s post.

According to Vetëvendosje, the process has ended and only Visar Ymeri remains the only potential candidate for the party chairperson.

Jablanovic’s dismissal requested

Kosovo Assembly Presidency has decided to proceed four laws in the Friday’s regular session, including the law on prohibition of participation in foreign fights. Following the meeting, Assembly Presidency members also spoke about the Jablanovic case.

PDK MP Xhavit Haliti said that if an Albanian minister would state something like Jablanovic did, he would not show up at his job. Haliti said that Prime Minister, who has the right to dismiss Jablanovic, should organize the process of his dismissal.

On the other hand, AAK also continues to call for Jablanovic’s dismissal.

Opposition against the manner that Veseli is running the Assembly

The manner that the Assembly session is being run by the Speaker Kadri Veseli has gathered leaders of the opposition, Albin Kurti, Ramush Haradinaj, and Fatmir Limaj. The opposition objects the manner how Veseli, together with the governing coalition, are running the legislative’s works.

Following the meeting, chairperson of Nisma për Kosovën Fatmir Limaj said that deviation from Assembly’s work regulation that happened on Monday and calling of extraordinary sessions are constitutional violations.

Prosecutorial Council approves the list of candidates for Prosecutor’s post

With seven votes in favour and one abstention, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has approved the list of six candidates that have met general criteria set by Article 3 and 4 of the regulation on criteria and procedures of nominating and proposing the nomination of the State Prosecutor.

According to RTK1, Agron Galani, Shyqyri Syla, Aleksandër Lumezi, Laura Pula, Imer Beka, and Metush Biraj are the candidates in the approved list.
