Jablanovic and Trepca protests to continue on Tuesday (Zeri)

All opposition parties are demanding that Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa dismiss the Minister for Communities and Returns, Aleksandar Jablanovic, today, and return the law that would transform the Trepca mining complex into a public enterprise back to Parliament. If he does not comply, they will protest again on Tuesday. A similar protest was already held last Saturday. For his part, Mustafa called the opposition parties “hypocrites” and said that Jablanovic is not Kosovo’s biggest problem right now.

An unnamed Western diplomat who works in Pristina told the news site that Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga is seriously thinking of resigning and taking up the post of chief of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency. According to the source, Jahjaga has already consulted with and asked support from international officials in Kosovo and from the ruling coalition partners, namely the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Jahjaga is expected to announce her decision in the next couple of days.
