Political analyst Dusan Janjic expects to be reached a political agreement in Brussels for the resolution of the crisis in Kosovo. Janjic told RTS that the boycott of the Kosovo institutions would be like shooting the legs of the interests of Serbian community.

Director of the Forum for Ethnic Relations Dusan Janjic, said that the dialogue in Brussels would be some kind of review what has been done so far, and what should be done.

“There are some specific topics, as the court in Mitrovica, question of presentation of the ZSO statute and of course an agreement on the railways and telecommunications,” said Janjic visiting the RTS Morning show.

As he says, the topic will certainly be the new circumstances and the announcement that the Srpska would boycott Kosovo government and other political institutions.

“I think a political agreement will be reached that there will be no boycott of the institutions, they will find other solutions to the crisis that was caused in Pristina and dismissal of Jablanovic” Janjic said, adding that the government must carefully choose who would be the Minister.

He pointed out that the boycott would be just “a shoot to the feet of the interests of Serbian community,” that damage would be enormous.

Janjic believes that they would discuss the assets of public enterprises and resources, but not the question of Trepca.

“As far as for the Trepca, Kosovo government has pulled out this on the proposal of some embassies in order to have bargaining power … I do not believe that the Trepca will have its turn, it will have to go through a long process of overview, maybe even arbitrage,” Janjic said.

He points out that the new Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa is a serious negotiator and that talks with him will be much more challenging than negotiating with Hashim Thaci.
