Vetevendosje does not exclude protests against special court (Koha)
Vetevendosje MPs, Albulena Haxhiu and Glauk Konjufca, stated on Thursday during a press conference that protests could be called to prevent establishment of the special court. They expressed reluctance that the Assembly opposition could have an impact on establishment of this court due to the insufficient number of seats it occupies. However, they expressed hope that the certain ruling coalition MPs would support them. Konjufca stated that the people demonstrated this year that they are not ready to make further compromises on issues such as the special court. “We will consider what is more reasonable…We consider that protest is one of the most democratic rights. We will call protests when the time is right. We unite with all the subjects of the civil society, the other opposition parties and make pressure on that direction,” Konjufca said.
Serbian List conditions return to Kosovo government with KIA post (Koha)
The Serbian List, which suspended its participation in the work of Kosovo institutions following the dismissal of its leader Aleksandar Jablanovic from the post of Minister for Communities and Returns, insists on the post of the deputy head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA) in exchange for its return. Kosovo government officials neither denied nor confirmed the matter only stressed that the Serbian List continues to be part of the government and that they expect the List’s representatives to reassume their active duties soon.
Germany pledges support in repatriation of Kosovo migrants (Kosova Sot)
Kosovo Prime Minister Mustafa met with Germany’s special envoy for Western Balkans, Ernst Reichel. Mustafa and Reichel discussed the processes in Kosovo. In regards to irregular migration, Reichel said that Germany will help the return of Kosovo people who migrated recently to Germany, adding that Germany will also help Kosovo on economic development and creating prospects for its people.
Breedlove: Partnership between KSF and NATO is a political issue (dailies)
The Supreme Allied Commander for Europe, General Philipp Breedlove, said on Thursday that the decision to continue the contractual partnership between Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and NATO is political and not military. But, according to him, “KSF has made great progress in the military aspect.” He gave assurances that KFOR in Kosovo will continue to play a major role in maintaining peace and security for all the people of Kosovo. Breedlove made the comments during a press conference at the KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.
PM Mustafa meets Admiral Mark Ferguson (Zeri)
Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, met on Thursday with Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Admiral Mark Ferguson. Mustafa and Admiral Ferguson discussed about the progress achieved in Kosovo, expressing mutual commitment to further cooperation in advancing the process. Mustafa praised the contribution of NATO in Kosovo, specifically the role of KFOR in creating a secure environment in Kosovo. Admiral Mark Ferguson commended the progress achieved in Kosovo, and welcomed the agreement reached recently in Brussels in the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue.
