Berlin seeks implementation of the entire Brussels Agreement. The beginning of the negotiations will not be on the agenda of the European Council until the autumn session.

Serbia could open the first chapters in early fall; if all the points from the Brussels agreement were applied – Novosti learns at the top of the European administration.

It is certain, however, that the judicial agreement reached at the last round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, will not unlock chapters of Serbia with the EU.

Novosti learned that Serbian authorities got a signal that this issue would not be placed on the agenda of the European Council until the full implementation of the Brussels Agreement.

According to our information, while for the majority of EU member states would be sufficient to meet at least three conditions – removal of “Peace Park” on the bridge in Mitrovica, cession of the hydropower plant “Gazivode” and substation “Valac” and agreeing on call number – Germany insists on absolutely all the points of the agreement.

David McAllister, the European Parliament Rapporteur for Serbia, yesterday confirmed, while visiting Serbia that it was likely that the German tough stance would prevail. He welcomed the agreement reached on judiciary, but stressed that it was not enough for the opening of chapters, since there are many topics on which there were no words.
