The British Embassy in Kosovo on Thursday organized a round table with the topic: “Economic empowerment of women and support for women to achieve their potential.” The Minister of Trade and Industry, Hikmete Bajrami, said that the problems with women, ranging from domestic violence, discrimination and sexual harassment or blackmail, usually happen due to women’s lack of economic power. “The case and the key to resolving this issue is a strong economic base,” said Bajrami. She said that the ministry is trying to find different ways for private sector development, to increase employment for women in Kosovo.
