Under the motto “The right to own property remains important factor on economic empowerment of women”, the Agency for Gender Equality organized a round table on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The round table marked the initiating process of drafting Administrative Instruction “Property Registration in the name of both spouses”. Chief Executive of the Agency for Gender Equality, Edona Hajrullahu talking about women’s roles and rights, said: “Ownership directly affects the realization of women’s rights and the development of interdependence which is a key sector in the development of a sustainable employment and consequently a greater economic stability for the whole society. The right to property is a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution of Kosovo.”
Property soon to be registered in the name of both spouses (Koha)
