Mitrovica mayor, Agim Bahtiri, has visited Kroi i Vitakut site where works to rebuild Albanian houses are ongoing. From there he had a telephone conversation with mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakic.
They agreed to reach a consent for the work at Albanian houses to continue as soon as possible. According to Bahtiri, he informed the embassies in Pristina, including the U.S. Embassy about the problem. He also said that he has discussed with the police director of the North, Nenad Djuric, and requested from him to remove the gathered Serb people who are impeding the works. The works are now going on, the situation remains calm but tense. Increased presence of the Police and KFOR is noticed.
