The Deputy Minister for Local Government Administration in the Kosovo government Bajram Gecaj stated that “Serbs wont’ have the right to veto when it comes to privatization in Kosovo”. He said that Serbs will be asked when it comes to start of privatization of companies located on the territories with Serbs majority.

“That doesn’t mean that they will have the right of veto…but, as any other democratic country, it is good that we obtain consent of residents of the place or their representatives”, Gecaj said.

He also commented on the return of Serbian representatives in Kosovo institutions and said that there were no conditions for their return.

Gecaj explained that stand on fulfilling the coalition agreement was re-confirmed, which amongst other, envisages establishment of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities, he stressed that it is about a time consuming process.

There are some things that require time, such as creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities that will be discussed in Brussels. Everything that will take place will be the result of consent of both sides in Brussels, said Gecaj, reported Pristina-based daily Koha.
