Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic has said that she “does not know what is written in President Tomislav Nikolic’s platform on Kosovo.”

“I’m not familiar with the content of the platform, or with whether the platform has arrived to the cabinet. When it does, we will sit down as a team and talk about it,” she told reporters in Belgrade on Tuesday.

Mihajlovic spoke after the signing of an agreement on the continuation of the construction of the Zezelj Bridge in Novi Sad.

President of the Vojvodina provincial government Bojan Pajtic expressed his concern because “the government has not seen an important document on such an important national issue like Kosovo.”

“By this we are sending a bad signal to the international community and to the people of Serbia,” Pajtic said and asked “how can the opposition say something about a platform that even the government has not yet seen.”

Pajtic – whose Democratic Party (DS) is in opposition in the national assembly – added that it was “up to the government and the president to harmonize elementary positions of the state,” while the opposition will be able to criticize or endorse this document “only after that.”
