Submitted 84 applications for judges and prosecutors in Kosovo (RTS)

In Kosovo, 84 candidates have applied from the Serbian and other communities non majority communities for judges and prosecutors in the courts in Kosovo, said Enver Peci for RTS, President of Kosovo Judicial Council Enver Peci.

However, not all the applicants are from the courts and prosecutors’ offices in Kosovo which have been working under system of the Government of Serbia, according to initial information.

Peci noted that for the judges position applied 58 persons, who operate in the Serbian judicial system in Kosovo. For the prosecution applied 12 persons.

“There are those who have applied, and are not from the parallel courts and prosecutors’ offices,” said Peci and added that EULEX has yet to submit Judicial Council and Prosecutorial Council a complete application.

The deadline for registration of candidates for judges and prosecutors from non-Albanian community expired at midnight.
