Kosovo’s President, Atifete Jahjaga, participated and spoke today on the occasion of the launch of the Network of Professional Women “Leadership and Growth Council”. This event was also attended by representatives of the international presence in Kosovo. “What we’re seeing very clearly today in your midst, it is a serious initiative aimed at equal treatment of women in society. Initiative which should become our common mission of every citizen and in every part of our institutions. You are women who have broken barriers, but your strength goes beyond that. Your strength is the message you convey to many other women and girls across the country and beyond, to demand their rights, to pursue dreams, to see beyond their own challenges,” Jahjaga said. She said that a wise society is a society that invests in its citizens, without distinction. “So, investing in men and women without distinction, because our society constitutes 50 percent women and 50 percent men and we should also have the same investment.”
