Deputy Prime Minister and Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic called on countries to refrain from unilateral moves regarding Kosovo, as long as the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is on-going.

Dacic told reporters that Pristina side is abusing continuation of the dialogue by sending letters to the other countries, with the explanation that Belgrade agreed to improve relations with Pristina and calling them to do the same.  “For us it is a question of principle. In the case of Kosovo was violated international law and therefore we call on all countries to refrain from unilateral moves, until the dialogue is over,” Dacic said.

He said that Serbia therefore should maintain and renew relations with traditional friends, to have a proactive cooperation and to inform them about the course of the dialogue.

Dacic said that in the past year, only two states have recognized the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo.
