Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Skender Hyseni, said on Wednesday that it is unfair that Kosovo continues to be isolated, while many countries like Moldova, Eastern Timor or Mexico move freely without visas in the Schengen area. Hyseni made these comments during the dialogue on Partnership for Migration between Kosovo and Switzerland, where he asked Switzerland to support Kosovo in the field of visa liberalization. Hyseni said that last week Kosovo submitted the visa liberalization report and is awaiting assessment by the European Union in July, to ascertain the progress made by this report.

Meanwhile, Swiss Ambassador in Kosovo, Krystyna Marty Lang, said that Switzerland is supporting visa liberalization process for Kosovo. She called on the people of Kosovo to not misunderstand visa liberalization, as it will only bring free movement and not employment for them.
