Praise for Kosovo Summit on International Law (Koha)

The three-day Kosovo Summit on International Law and Human Rights, organized by the Supreme Court of Kosovo and the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy concluded its works yesterday and organizer said the summit met all its objectives. President of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Fejzullah Hasani expressed the need for increase of both human and training resources in the judicial sector. He also said the dialogue between communities should intensify. “We are now in the final stages of integrating communities in the Kosovo judicial sector and I believe this will have an impact on resolving outstanding issues,” said Hasani. At the same time, UNDP Resident Representative Andrew Russell hailed the summit and said that meetings, workshops and conferences are all means to achieving goals.

The summit marked symbolically the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, the establishment of the UN, the creation of the International Court of Justice, and the 20th anniversary of the Dayton Accords signed in Paris in December 1995.
