Family Ilić is evicted this morning from their house in North Mitrovica after a Kosovo Albanian won the court process in dispute over the ownership of the house.

Ilić didn’t participate in the court process since, as he says, he was never invited by the court, whereas the only communicatin from the court was the verdict that he has to vacate the house, which he bought in 2002. In2006 he learned that Kosovo Albanian has registered the house on his name with the help of two witnesses. There was a big concentration of Kosovo Police in North Mitrovia this morning.

Lawyer Miodrag Brkljac earlier stated that case of Danilo Ilić is an example how property has been confiscated from Serbs in Kosovo in last ten years.

Even though Ilić’s lawyer submitted a request for the repetition of the court process, Basic Court in Mitrovica hasn’t rulled on the matter for more than a year.

With regard to this case Ilić also addressed and EULEX, which decalred that this case doesn’t fell under its jurisdition.
