The Association of Families of Kidnapped and Murdered in Kosovo and Metohija announced that it is disappointed with decisions of some states of the UNESCO Executive Board, which supported Kosovo’s application for membership in that organization of the United Nations.
Victims’ families are against the “shameful request submitted by Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci.” “Is it possible that the one who destroyed a nation and cultural heritage of Kosovo and Metohija in front of NATO, KFOR, UNMIK, is asking for its protection through international organizations,” the statement said, adding that the Kosovo- Metohija cultural heritage was destroyed by those who now seek its protection.
