The coordinator of the Steering Team for establishment of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM) Ljubomir Marić stated last night that reached agreement on A/CSM is the best news that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija could receive, and added that he expects that everything will be ready for a constitutive session of the A/CSM in next two to three months.
Maric said to Tanjug that what is left is the implementation of the reached agreements and that he expects the A/CSM to become operational as soon as possible, and that draft statute of the A/CSM should be aligned with the reached agreement.
“We will work day and night and we expect no more problems and that everything is ready for constitutional session of the Community of Serb municipalities and its establishment in next two to three months,” concluded Marić.
He added that there are several draft statutes of the A/CSM and that Steering Team is in permanent consultations with the Serbian Government and international factors, because statute should be aligned with the reached agreement. “I expect that procedure to go very fast,” said Marić. He further said that establishment of the A/CSM will provide better future and protection for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and added that Serbs have reasons to celebrate today since the future will be completely different.
