Serbia will have a great help of China in the modernization of country and official Beijing will consider more favorable conditions for financing the railway project Belgrade – Budapest. In addition Beijing will support all other Serbian projects – are the results of the visit of President Tomislav Nikolic to the second economy of the world.

According to the Chinese President Li Keqiang, Belgrade can count on the vote of Beijing against membership of Kosovo in UNESCO. This political support is very important considering the fact that Chines representative is chairing the 37th General Conference of this organization where Kosovo’s request should be discussed.

President Nikolic stressed Serbia’s commitment to the European integrations, stressing that we are ready for complete EU membership: “However, if recognition of Kosovo appears as condition for EU membership that will present insurmountable obstacle. We are faced with the attempts of Pristina administration to declare Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo as Kosovo heritage. If Pristina become UNESCO member, Serbian cultural heritage which is nine centuries old will be totally devastated,” said Nikolic.

Keqiang stated that Beijing understand the efforts of Serbia to preserve its territory, people and cultural heritage.
