Creation of the Association/Community of Serb municipalities goes by the plan. Four months will be needed for development of the statue and spring 2016 is set as a period for its establishment.
We expect our teams to come out in next couple days with concrete drafts, proposals and plans, said Marko Đurić, the Director of the Serbian Governments’ Office for Kosovo and Metohja, during his visit to Štrpce/Shtërpcë.
“Of course, we will try to expand what was agreed in principle, but we have no doubts that certain politicians, particularly in Pristina, will try to minimize it,” said Đurić.
After meeting with political representatives of the municipality and directors of institutions and public companies, he visited and block of flats with 16 apartments under construction, funded by the Serbian Government. “Jobs and housing are two first key preconditions for people being able to live in a dignified way in 21 century,” said Đurić and added that we will all have to work hard in order to create work places with the support of the Serbian Government.
