The first meeting of Kosovo Assembly’s autumn session was followed by many tensions.

Clashes between the ruling and opposition parties started after Prime Minister Isa Mustafa requested that his reporting on agreements with Serbia, expected to happen on Thursday, to be postponed to Tuesday next week.

Opposition stood up and did not allow the chairperson Sabri Hamiti to continue with the session. The Assembly Presidency is expected to take a decision about continuation of this session on Monday.

Mitrovicë/Mitrovica South mayor Agim Bahtiri informed that barricade over Ibër River will be removed soon. He said that if it will not be removed within a month, it is likely that he will express his rebellion.

Bahtiri said that the decision for removal of the barricade was signed, and it must be removed.

“I will radicalize. I will be very radical. For two more weeks I will see what the conclusion of this agreement will be, but if this agreement does not work out than we will take other measures. No one has, will have the right, or dare to stop Albanians. I am guaranteeing that no one will be able to stop them,” Bahtiri said.

Mayor Bahtiri expressed his concern about displacement of Albanian citizens from the northern part. He said that Serbian Government is creating special funds for procurement of land from Albanians. He called on Kosovo central institutions to take measures for prevention this phenomenon.

Citizens expressed their disappointment with the stance of local institutions regarding citizens in this area. They do not expect that barricade will be removed this time either.

Boards of public enterprises overcrowded with political persons

(KTV)

Boards of each enterprise and other public positions are overcrowded with political persons. Furthermore, these positions are the main points where partners of the PDK-LDK coalition are settling their next of kin.

Government has decided to appoint several other political persons in boards of public enterprises. At the time when it was in opposition, the LDK of Prime Minister Isa Mustafa accused PDK for usurpation of boards of public enterprises, but his party did not any better.

A research carried out by “Çohu” organization identifies 249 persons that have been appointed until the end of 2014 have connections or are members of political parties, without calculating here the new appointments that is doing Isa Mustafa’s governance.

In one of its last appointments, Government appointed Mërgim Lushtaku, the son of Skenderaj/Srbica mayor, as a board member of “Ibër Lepenci” enterprise.
