Movement Self-Determination is planning to organize a referendum and unrest due to the formation of the Community/Association of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo.

The leader of the radical opposition movement Vetevendosje and member of the Assembly of Kosovo announced in Tirana that he has 100,000 signatures against the ZSO and that there will be a referendum.

– We started the procedure for the referendum. This will be a hot autumn, winter and spring in Kosovo. We will organize protests, demonstrations and we will mobilize people and it will be fierce like never before – Kurti threatened from the capital of Albania.

The Serbian team, which is preparing the statute of the ZSO is not surprised by the Kurti vocabulary, but continue to work on the creation of the Community/Association.

Dalibor Jevtic, Minister for Return and Communities in Kosovo, told Novosti that Kurti’s announcements or threats should be understood seriously.

– It is the fact that you can feel the tension in Kosovo that have taken place because of the statements, opinions, and everything that Self-determination does. Their often attacks on the Prime Minister of Kosovo show that this group of people does not stop at nothing in order to destabilize the situation. I believe that rationality of the majority of Albanians will prevail and that Kurti’s dreams will not come true.

Milovan drecun, Head of the board of the Assembly of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija, told Novosti that it was the time that Brussels and Washington discipline Kurti:

– The extremists and adventurers became more serious destabilizing factor in Kosovo. You can not conduct a referendum against something that was agreed in Brussels, which was also supported by Washington. Now they must finish the statute of ZSO after which the so-called Kosovo Government needs to adopt a regulation on the ZSO and to form a community.

Dusan Janjic of the Forum for Inter-Ethnic Relations says that Kurti mostly has appealed to the voters because his rating declines and elections are approaching:

– He can not bring down the ZSO. This is an international agreement that will be implemented until 25 December. His rhetoric is directed against the government and represents the pre-election campaign.
