Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said that status and property of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) should be discussed in the next round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

According to him, the theme will be the participation of Serbs in Pristina institutions in the guaranteed percentage, as well as the airline flight Belgrade – Pristina.

“We are in contact with EU representatives and we have already nominated topics of interest for discussion in the continuation of the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina,” Djuric told Danas.

– Some of the topics include the status and property of the SPC, the guaranteed percentage of participation of Serbs in Pristina institutions, the airline flight Belgrade – Pristina, as well as the issue of property in general. I expect from the premiers, in addition to these topics, to talk to Mogherini about the dynamics of the application of the agreements reached thus far. For us, the talks in Brussels have no alternative – Djuric said.

Djuric said to Danas daily that for Belgrade the status of Kosovo was defined by the Serbian Constitution and the UNSC Resolution 1244, when asked what was the status and institutional framework of the actual normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Djuric was convinced that in the Brussels dialogue on the normalization of relations a significant progress can be made and for the daily life of citizens in Kosovo if during that process, the status issue was set aside and if a mutual desire existed for direct discussions on issues that can be solved without the mediation of the EU.

Djuric denied in an interview to Danas allegations of Pristina that officials of Belgrade and Pristina have agreed in Brussels that all the “parallel Serbian institutions” would be abolished before the formation of ZSO.
