Strengthening of nationalism in multi-ethnic Kosovo should not happen, said Serb MP in the Kosovo parliament from the ranks of the Serbian List and chairperson of the Progressive Democratic Party, Nenad Rasic, and added that this was the reason for the boycott of the work of parliament of some Serb MPs.
“We were supposed to take part in the work of the parliament, however, at that moment a group of opposition MPs had entered and revealed paintings highlighting national Albanian motives, for which we think that should not be there in such composition of the parliament, in multi-ethnic Kosovo,”said Rasic and added that no national insignia should be in any corner of the parliament.
Rasic also expressed his surprise with the participation of certain Serb MPs, along with the ministers and deputy prime minister from Serb community, in yesterday’s work of the parliament. “I am surprised that they were there, we suggested that they should not participate in that session,” said Rasic, and added that those MPs should be asked why they took part in the work of the parliament.
