The Serbian List caucus whip in the Kosovo parliament Slavko Simic rejected today as untruthful claims of Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic that they have joined the opposition in its boycott of the work of the Kosovo parliament, and said that discussion over the Association/Community of Serb municipalities was not on the parliament’s agenda.

Coordinator of the Serbian List Branimir Stojanovic accused earlier today MPs from the Socialist’s Movement and the chairperson of the Independent Liberal Party Slobodan Petrovic, members of the Serbian List caucus group, that they have joined the Kosovo Albanian opposition parties, contrary to Belgrade’s instructions, in their boycott of the work of the parliament.

“Due to media campaign and defamation of the leader of the Serbian List, Aleksandar Jablanovic, and efforts in pushing the Serbian List into a clash with the Serbian Government and the prime minister, we want to inform the general public that these statements are coming from the self-declared coordinator of the Serbian List Branimir Stojanovic, and have no basis in reality,” reads Simic’s communique, and quotes the illegal arrest of Serbs from Brezovica and uncovering of paintings with displayed Albanian national insignia in the Kosovo parliament’s central lobby, as reasons for boycotting the work of the Kosovo parliament.
