KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, paid a visit to northern Kosovo and met the Mayor of Zubin Potok, Stevan Vulovic with whom he discussed current situation in Kosovo with specific focus on the north. Miglietta also visited and military camp Cabra where its unfixing process is ongoing.
“KFOR will continue to provide secure environment in the north and in the rest of Kosovo, ready to intervene as the third security responder if required,” said Miglietta, and added that “KFOR, in full compliance with its mandate, promotes progress and dialogue in the region”, reads KFOR communiqué. Vulovic expressed to Miglietta his appreciation and gratitude for the impartial and effective posture of KFOR in maintaining safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people.
General Miglietta also visited military camp Cabra where the unfixing process is ongoing. KFOR stated in its communiqué that ‘shaping of KFOR posture is related to ordinary redistribution of soldiers through the territory,” and added that ‘continuity in carrying out all the operational activities related to KFOR mandate remains unchanged’. Military camp Cabra was set at the time of barricades at the entrance of Zubin Potok at the intersection which leads to village Cabra.
